11/18/07 - Rural Fire Training in Bridge
Canyon Estates Seligman firefighters performed
a rural training exercise in Bridge Canyon near Ft Rock road. Firefighters
refreshed skills on setting up the portable water tank and suctioning
water from it with the fire engine as well as hose and nozzle skills.

| 10/21/07 - Fire Training
at Seligman Public Schools
Seligman firefighters performed a training exercise
at the school. Firefighters toured of some of the buildings that
have a "maze" layout to familiarize them before
a real emergency. Engine 6 was used for a live drill in which hose
was laid from the hydrant at the front of the school to the baseball
field where some teacher housing is located.

Week at the Seligman Public School
Deputy Chief Shawn Bulle gave the fire safety presentation
to the K-6th grade kids with the help of Chief Donny Brown and EMT
Michelle Bulle.
The kids were reminded about the importance of fire safety in the
home, stop drop and roll and having an exit plan from their house
in case of a fire.

9/16/07 - New Chief and Assistant Chief
Elected The Seligman Fire District Board
voted unanimously to replace Chief John Kennedy with Seligman native
Donny Brown. Local buisness owner, firefighter/EMT Shawn Bulle was
voted in as Assistant Chief. Grateful for John Kennedy 's decades
of service to the community and the fire department, Donny and Shawn
elected to have John Kennedy be the operations training officer. Jake
Hodges was elected to be the engineering training officer. |
August/07 - Department of Homeland Security
FEMA Grant Awarded The Seligman Fire District
was awarded funds for Personal Protective Equipment such as new turnouts,
helmets, boots, gloves, SCBA's and equipment such as a refill compressor. |
